Teco ISP giving up

An ISP connecting to KCCS has decided to get out of the ISP business. TECO, the PC clone supplier, is now in the process of closing it's Internet Service. As yet there is no information about their existing customers or if any plans are provided to transfer their accounts to other Auckland ISPs

Teco originally bought out INZO (Internet NZ Online) from Auckland company HGP International in mid 1995. The staff who run INZO (PC and Colin) also moved to TECO to continue as system admin and technical support for TECO's ISP operation.
Last week it appears that TECO are to rationalise their computer operation after the resignation of the TECO computer's general manager and the marketing manager. (Mike Jack)
TECO are currently connected to KCCS via a 64Kbit MDDS.
