Over this weekend several equipment and network updates occured at the KCCS hub at Napier. The Cisco 2522 multiport router was replaced with a Cisco 4000M router. This change to a mid-range Cisco router enabled more of the links into Napier to use compresssion and also allowed the ethernet network at Ram Management to be separated from the KCCS network.
A Pentium based PC running Linux was installed as a local new server.Another Napier ISP, Internet Hawkes Bay, is also installing a WaveLan radio link over the next few days. this will be the sixth ISP connecting to the hub.
